I was so excited when a friend I use to work with in Las Vegas, referred Yogi and Jeet to me. The first time talking with Yogi and hearing their proposal story– (in an endearing and admirable way) I said that Jeet seems like the perfect King to his Queen. It couldn’t be more true after spending time with them. Between their chemistry, Jeet’s chivalry, their fun banter, respect and mindfulness of each other — make them the ultimate power couple and the best be around.
big and bold acts of love
They got engaged this past fall, when Jeet planned a romantic, surprise proposal to Yogi during their trip to New York City, in the middle of Central Park. He took her shopping right after for a new dress, for portraits and a nice dinner. Jeet even teamed up with Yogi’s friends and family to plan it all out, and although Yogi normally can pick up on secret plans, she had NO idea. I know, guys. I know. Jeet knows his stuff. So romantic and sweet.
This is totally Yogi and Jeet though – when they make plans, they go BIG & BOLD. Their wedding celebration is going to be held this coming spring at the luxurious ocean-front of The Breakers Palm Beach. When a trip to Vegas surfaced on their agenda, Yogi thought it would be the perfect bridge to creating a unique video for their wedding announcement. She wanted their video to be bold; different from their normal scene in New Jersey, surrounded by gorgeous western desert-canyon landscapes. Jeet took some convincing on the adventure but finally came around after it was said and done 😉
Their Adventure in valley of fire
Despite being from the city and not so outdoorsy, they handled 4 hours of hiking in 100 degree heat, through sand and rocks, all in their Indian garments, like complete pros. I was SO impressed with their dedication and excitement throughout. Yogi says that comes from her mom, “Beauty is pain. No pain, no gain.”

Behind the Scenes of their Desert Adventure
The Valley of Fire is only about an hour outside of Vegas and one of my favorite places to explore and camp. They call it the valley of fire because of the dense and uniquely pointed, red canyon structures that surrounds a massive dessert valley of various textures and landscapes. I could get lost in there for days.
Together we planned their glam-adventure in less than a month. The first part was narrowing down locations they liked, while staying realistic with the timeline of their trip and comfort with the level of the adventure, especially given their attire and wardrobe changes they had in store. When I found hidden canyon inside of Valley of Fire — one that resembled the color and texture they liked about Antelope Canyon, I knew this was our spot.
Cheers to many more big adventures, Yogi & Jeet!
